When pressed for time in the morning, a smoothie or smoothie bowl is an easy way to ensure you are getting a healthy serving of fruits and vegetables, especially when that smoothie is green. I will be the first to admit that I prefer to have my greens in a salad, on my pasta or accompanying my meals. Until I tried this deliciously green smoothie that is. The combination on fruit, spinach and ginger give this smoothie a vibrant colour and a sweet smooth finish. This smoothie will also work well with frozen pineapple or frozen berries. And of course, top it with any of your favourite toppings.
Green Mango Smoothie Bowl
½ cup of almond milk
1 small banana (frozen is best)
1 ½ cups of frozen mango
2 handfuls of spinach
1-2 inch piece of ginger, grated
1 scoop of protein powder (optional)
Place all the ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth. Top with any of your favourite toppings such as granola, fresh fruit, coconut, chia seeds or nuts.
